The latest Google Hangouts does shine with plenty of handy features to support your life’s conversation such as groups, photo sharing, video calls, etc. But if you’re an AT&T customer, you’ll need to miss video call feature, when you’ll try it, the app may ask for a Wi-Fi connection to dismiss video chat. Take a look over AT&T’s statement (“The Verge” received the following statement about app):
All AT&T Mobility customers can use any video chat app over cellular that is not pre-loaded on their device, but which they download from the Internet. For video chat apps that come pre-loaded on devices, we offer all OS and device makers the ability for those apps to work over cellular for our customers who are on Mobile Share.
Does Google Hangouts not offer “pre-loaded” feature? Are it requires something else? AT&T’s hangout users need to miss video chat? It seems that Google is not cooperating with AT&T and we’ll have to face the music.
